Product Manager

Our client is a leading provider of high-quality furniture in Kenya

To oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery

1. Supervise the entire production process of the furniture, from raw material procurement to the final product.
2. Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure all products meet industry standards.
3. Lead, train, and manage a team of skilled workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
4. Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring the timely availability of materials and supplies.
5. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
6. Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.
7. Prepare and present regular reports on production activities, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
8. Schedules, assigns, and plans the work of carpentry shop personnel performing a variety of carpentry projects.
9. Responsible for job card allocation and job cards flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day-to-day workshop operations.
10. Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with the client.
11. Plan and develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of workshop expenditures and procedures for equipment maintenance.
12. Develop workshop Standard Operating Procedures.
13. Any other duty assigned

1. Diploma or degree in Art and Design, Woodwork Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in production management, preferably in furniture or related industries.
3. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and workflow management skills.
4. Familiarity with sustainable practices and CNC machinery is a plus.
5. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
6. Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost analysis capabilities.
