Job Summary

We're looking for a dynamic Community Manager to build, engage, and grow Shukran's F&B Managers community. You'll be instrumental in creating value for our hospitality partners, driving community engagement, leading our foundation initiatives, and generating business growth through direct sales and referrals. This role requires someone with deep hospitality industry connections and a passion for community building at scale.

This is a fast-paced, relationship-driven role ideal for someone who understands the hospitality ecosystem and is passionate about driving financial inclusion and innovation within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Community Building & Engagement

  • Build and nurture Shukran's F&B Managers community through strategic engagement initiatives
  • Develop and implement comprehensive community growth strategies via social media, events, and digital platforms
  • Ensure consistent month-on-month community growth with quality hospitality professionals
  • Create valuable content, resources, and experiences that resonate with F&B managers and hospitality leaders

Community Value Creation

  • Design and execute programs that provide tangible value to community members
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, and professional development within the community
  • Organise industry-relevant events, workshops, and training sessions
  • Collaborate with community members on market research and product feedback initiatives

Shukran Foundation Leadership

  • Lead and oversee the Shukran Foundation's community impact initiatives
  • Develop programs that support hospitality workers' financial wellness and professional growth
  • Build partnerships with industry associations, NGOs, and community organizations
  • Track and report on foundation impact metrics and community outcomes

Champions Program Management

  • Identify, recruit, and manage Shukran Champions from within the community
  • Develop champion onboarding, training, and recognition programs
  • Support champions in driving local community growth and engagement
  • Create incentive structures that motivate and retain top community advocates

Business Growth & Sales Support

  • Generate direct sales opportunities through community engagement and relationship building
  • Develop and execute community-driven referral programs to expand Shukran's reach
  • Support the sales team with warm introductions and relationship facilitation
  • Track and achieve community-to-sales conversion targets on monthly and quarterly basis

Strategic Partnerships & Network Expansion

  • Leverage existing hospitality network to drive platform adoption and community growth
  • Build strategic partnerships with hotels, restaurants, tour companies, and hospitality groups
  • Collaborate with tourism associations, industry leaders, and local influencers
  • Represent Shukran at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
     

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in community management, business development, or relationship management within the hospitality industry
  • Proven network within F&B management, hotel operations, or hospitality sector
  • Deep understanding of the hospitality landscape in Kenya and East Africa
  • Demonstrated success in community building, engagement, and growth initiatives
  • Experience in sales support, lead generation, or business development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build lasting relationships
  • Project management abilities with experience coordinating events and programs
  • Passion for hospitality industry and financial inclusion initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field
